Textbook: Mathematics with Applications, 13th edition. Lial, Hungerford, Holcomb and Mullins. MyLab access is required and includes the eText. It can be bought through MyLab or as an access kit from the UNR bookstore.
Calculator: A scientific calculator. Graphing calculators are not permitted on exams.
Final exam: Wednesday, December 16, 10:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m. Set by the university finals schedule: a four-credit MTWR class takes the slot of its Monday/Wednesday meeting.

Grading: Homework 20%, quizzes 10%, four midterm exams 50%, comprehensive final 20%. Each midterm is worth 12.5%. A D− or better is required to pass and earn credit. The Math 20 corequisite is passed with 60% or better on Exam 1, or with a D− or better in Math 120E.

Multiplying and factoring polynomials2 reviews

Factored form or not Whether an expression is written as a product, which is decided by the operation carried out last. The multiplication between two brackets is the one operation with no symbol.
